Training Programs

All training programs include a full membership to Playball Academy Canada for the duration of the program.

 
 

In-season Program


  • June 1st - August 15th

  • Initial consultation with an athletic therapist

  • Throwing assessment

  • Long toss plan

  • Personalized training

  • Emphasis on staying healthy and maintaining strength and durability throughout the season

  • Full Playball Academy Canada membership

  • Velo Pitching shirt

  • Access to online training materials

Fall Program


  • September 1st - December 15th

  • Initial consultation with an athletic therapist

  • Personalized workouts

  • Emphasis on building functional strength and explosiveness

  • Shut down period for throwing allows for higher volume of training

  • Full Playball Academy Canada membership

  • Velo Pitching shirt

  • Access to online training materials

 
 
 

Offseason Program


  • January 1st - May 15th

  • Learn how to incorporate your throwing work in to your training schedule

  • Initial consultation with an athletic therapist and reassessment at mid-way point of the program

  • Throwing assessment

  • Progressive throwing plan for return to mound and building arm strength

  • Full Playball Academy Canada membership

  • Velo pitching shirt

  • Access to online training materials

Full year program


  • Intensive 52-week training plan includes all phases of the year

  • Programming changes as the year progresses and demands on the arm and body change

  • Initial and quarterly assessments with an athletic therapist

  • Throwing assessment

  • Full, year round, throwing program

  • Full year Playball Academy Canada membership

  • Velo pitching shirt
